The PAIRS project: data sharing for crisis response

In response to the pandemic, a consortium led by Advaneo, launched a research project that makes it possible to forecast the effects of crisis situations with trusted data sharing based on the IDS standard.

The PAIRS (Privacy-Aware, Intelligent and Resilient Crisis Management) project will use open data to anticipate the initial event of the crisis and the reactions of various actors using AI technology.

In order for the applications to capture the crisis situations quickly and accurately, the frequent lack of data has to be overcome, data has to be kept up-to-date but at the same time, data privacy and sovereignty have to be maintained. PAIRS solves these challenges by offering a decentralised platform architecture that allows access to relevant data while guaranteeing data privacy.
