Twitter launches game to help users understand privacy setting

17.05.2022

Twitter launched a new browser game to help users understand its privacy settings.

The game is called “Twitter Data Dash” and is made by Momo Pixel. The goal of the game is to show people which information Twitter collects, how that information is used, and the level of control users have over it. Once you start the game, you will select one of four characters that follow and guide Data, the dog, through the game’s levels. The players need to help Data by navigating him safely through PrivaCity and by dodging “cat ads, swimming through a sea of (direct messages), and battling trolls”. 1 Each time you complete a level, you learn more about Twitter’s privacy settings.

With this game, Twitter hopes to encourage more people around the world to take charge of how their personal information is dealt with, and have a little fun in the process.
