KRAKEN, the EU's data sharing and monetisation initiative under the H2020 framework announced it will make use of Streamr technology across several European jurisdictions. Streamr offers marketplace and network technology that makes data sharing possible under GDPR compliance.
The H2020 initiative facilitates safe sharing, brokerage, and the exchange of potentially sensitive personal information by giving all parties involved in the data lifecycle control over the data. Streamr is the global leader for decentralised open-source networks, specifically for real-time data. Designed to serve as a platform where information can be traded and distributed, whilst permitting users to stay in control of their data, the service will support the EU in their efforts to create a secure yet sovereign data ecosystem.
