Smart Cities Data Catalogue Specification

Last summer, the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) and US Ignite, a non-profit smart city accelerator, released the “Smart Cities Data Catalogue Specification”. This standardisation document is created to support cities in making optimal use of shared data and design useful smart city infrastructures that are easy to implement. It also includes a blueprint to help cities achieve their data-sharing goals.

In this publication, the authors highlight that sharing data not only increases the value of city and third-party data, but also improves the way data is collected and interpreted. Ultimately leading to improved public services for everyone.
