On 10 November, the Data Spaces Business Alliance (BDVA, FIWARE, Gaia-X and IDSA) and the European Commission are hosting an online session to present how the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC) can support the implementation of common European Data Spaces.
In the Path to Digital Decade policy programme, the European Commission identified key areas in need of funding, e.g. common data infrastructure and services, digital innovation hubs, supercomputing, and digital skills. Yet, many member states still struggle to secure that funding. International projects aim to improve this by pooling EU, national, and private money and resources. The EDIC facilitates doing so by making it easier to combine the national public and private funding with the EU budget.
