Pierre Baviera is the CEO for Derilinx. He is passionate about unlocking the data potential within and across organisations to make a true positive impact on society. With a background in Engineering and Management, and having held leadership positions within multiple companies, Pierre has extensive experience helping organisations across the globe transform their business, with a special focus on technology and innovation.

Mark Warren was an Assistant Principal with the Office of the Government CIO at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. Mark has more than 10 years of experience working in the area of Software Development with extensive experience in delivering large public sector wide systems. He recently moved to the role of Chief Data Officer at Children's Health Ireland.

In this talk we will discuss how the strategy for Ireland was built and how it compares to other national strategies in Europe. We will discuss Derilinx' work on smart cities and how to build trust around data collection, and touch upon data governance in practical terms. For example, how can you operationalise the idea of informed consent and data privacy?
