Data sharing among technology and research entities has increased during the COVID-19 spread

Open science, or data sharing between (health) research and technology companies is increasing during the COVID-19 pandemic. An example of this is the manufacturing of COVID-19 tests, such as nasal swabs, with the use of 3D printers. These printers can produce large quantities of tests within a short period of time, a process that is facilitated by data sharing.
